Knife
Spatula
Measuring Cups
Measuring Spoons
Baking Sheet
Parchment Paper
Whisk
Wire Rack
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 cup cinnamon chips
- 1 ¼ cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar sifted
Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Sift your flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into a bowl. Stir with a fork to combine. Add in your cinnamon chips and combine
Form a well in your dry ingredients and pour in 1 ¼ cups of heavy whipping cream. Combine with your fork until the dough holds together
Dump dough onto a floured surface and knead 10 times. Your dough will be kind of sticky, don’t worry
Split the dough in half and form two balls. Flatten each ball into 7-inch wide discs and cut each into 8 wedges
Place on your baking tray about 1 inch apart
Bake 10-12 minutes until just barely golden. Remove from the tray and cool completely on a wire rack
To make your glaze, sift ½ cup of powdered sugar over 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and whisk to a smooth consistency
Drizzle your glaze over your cooled scones and allow to set at room temperature, until the glaze is no longer sticky to touch
Enjoy!
