These are the easiest scones you’ll probably ever make, and they simply melt in your mouth. The creaminess of the glaze, working with the spice of the cinnamon chips, makes them the perfect treat for your breakfast line-up. Plus, they come together in one bowl.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife
  • Spatula
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Whisk
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup cinnamon chips
  • 1 ¼ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar sifted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Sift your flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into a bowl. Stir with a fork to combine. Add in your cinnamon chips and combine
  • Form a well in your dry ingredients and pour in 1 ¼ cups of heavy whipping cream. Combine with your fork until the dough holds together
  • Dump dough onto a floured surface and knead 10 times. Your dough will be kind of sticky, don’t worry
  • Split the dough in half and form two balls. Flatten each ball into 7-inch wide discs and cut each into 8 wedges
  • Place on your baking tray about 1 inch apart
  • Bake 10-12 minutes until just barely golden. Remove from the tray and cool completely on a wire rack
  • To make your glaze, sift ½ cup of powdered sugar over 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and whisk to a smooth consistency
  • Drizzle your glaze over your cooled scones and allow to set at room temperature, until the glaze is no longer sticky to touch
  • Enjoy!
