One-Ingredient Apricot Glaze

This is a quick and easy way to add a sweet glossy finish to anything from an open-faced apple tart to a croissant. The apricot jam is very mild in flavor so you won’t taste the fruit just a little sweet bite.

Equipment

  • Pot
  • Spoon or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp apricot jam

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat your jam over low heat. 
  • Stir occasionally with a spatula to loosen the jam until it has reached your desired consistency*. Simply brush onto your desired bake with a pastry brush and see it shine!

Notes

*If your glaze appears too thick still, add about a teaspoon of water at a time to the pot while you stir, to help loosen and thin out the glaze
