What to Do in the Outer Banks: My Favorite Spots [Photo Gallery]
My family first started going to the Outer Banks in 1995 for a big reunion, and it quickly became a tradition. Since 2013, we’ve returned annually, usually renting a beach house in Corolla. Over the years, I’ve found some favorite spots and activities—perfect for anyone wondering what to do in the Outer Banks, especially around Corolla and Duck, NC.
While we spend plenty of time on the beach, sometimes it’s nice to explore beyond the sand, whether it’s a cloudy day or you’re just looking for something different. From historic sites in Corolla to the boardwalk shops in Duck, these photos highlight a few of my favorite places in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
