Tips for Baking with Rosemary

  • Fresh is best. While some of these recipes dried rosemary can be substituted, it’s those fresh oils that add so much of the flavor. 
  • Chop it small for use in cookies, cheesecakes, and other baked goods. Nobody wants a shard of rosemary stabbing them in the mouth
  • Incorporate it as you would any herb or spice, most often mixing it in with the dry ingredients
  • For a deliciously simple finish… rub freshly chopped rosemary with a little bit of sugar or salt and sprinkle it over your hot bake (so it sticks!) to bring home that rosemary flavor
